For this special evening at Scullers Jazz Club, trumpeter Duane Eubanks brings together an extraordinary quintet to celebrate the music and legacy of Philadelphia jazz legend Lee Morgan. A Philadelphia native and deeply connected to the city's rich jazz tradition, Eubanks has established his own distinctive voice as a trumpeter, composer, bandleader, and educator. For this tribute, he is joined by four remarkable musicians whose individual artistry brings depth, power, and character to the music. Antonio Hart --- alto saxophone A celebrated altoist and masterful improviser, Hart brings a commanding yet lyrical voice to the front line. His extensive work as a bandleader, recording artist, and educator reflects a deep connection to the jazz tradition while embracing its continued evolution. Jordan Williams --- piano One of the exciting younger voices in jazz, Williams brings remarkable musicality, rhythmic sophistication, and a fresh perspective to the piano chair. His playing connects the language of the tradition with a distinctly contemporary sensibility. A native of Philadelphia, Williams carries the city's rich musical legacy into a new generation. Kenny Davis --- bass A veteran bassist known for his powerful groove, melodic sensibility, and exceptional versatility, Davis provides the foundation that allows the music to breathe, swing, and take unexpected turns. Byron Landham --- drums A dynamic drummer with deep Philadelphia roots, Landham brings precision, drive, and an unmistakable sense of swing. His playing provides the rhythmic engine for a band built around the energy and spirit of hard bop.
